I am an evolutionary biologist interested in understanding the mechanisms that originate and maintain biodiversity at multiple levels. My research interests fall within two main research areas: 1) phylogenomics, comparative phylogenetics, and phylogeography, 2) population genomics and biodiversity. I worked on different organisms, including plants, fungal species, and insects. My current research is focused on understanding the distribution of genetic diversity of forest tree species, the evolutionary mechanisms that shaped their current distribution and the application of genomic tools to asses their biodiversity.
